The people behind the propagation engine

Robotics engineers, computer vision researchers, and operations specialists who've spent time on the warehouse floor before building the software for it.

Angela Ferreira — Co-Founder and CEO of Automcore

Angela Ferreira

Co-Founder & CEO

Before founding Automcore, Angela spent several years as an automation engineering lead across two distribution center networks in Southern California, most recently at a facility in Fontana where she documented the per-arm, per-SKU teach-in bottleneck that became Automcore's founding problem statement. She holds a BS in Industrial Engineering from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and has worked with UR, FANUC, and ABB arm configurations in production warehouse environments.

Head of Robotics Engineering at Automcore — research background in grasp learning and manipulation

Head of Robotics Engineering

Co-Founder & CTO

Previously a research engineer in robotic manipulation, with a focus on 6-DOF grasp learning and point cloud-based pose estimation for unstructured bin picking environments. Leads the propagation engine architecture — including the grasp model distillation pipeline, confidence validation layer, and arm-family normalization that allows a UR training session to transfer cleanly to FANUC and ABB endpoints. PhD in Robotics, Carnegie Mellon University.

Deployment Lead at Automcore — oversees facility integrations and go-live operations

Head of Deployment

VP Deployment Engineering

Spent a decade managing field deployments of robotic pick systems in food distribution, apparel fulfillment, and industrial parts facilities — including hands-on commissioning of UR10e, FANUC CR-14iA, and Yaskawa GP12 deployments in active DCs. Leads every Automcore customer deployment from initial network topology assessment through maintenance window scheduling, go-live, and steady-state handoff. MS in Mechanical Engineering, University of Michigan.

Operations Lead at Automcore — oversees customer success and fleet performance monitoring

Head of Operations

VP Operations

Former warehouse operations director who oversaw semi-automated and robotic fulfillment at two growing 3PL operators. Her operations background informs how Automcore measures deployment health — pick rate per arm, propagation coverage, cycle time variance, and SKU-level confidence scoring. Manages ongoing customer success and fleet performance monitoring for all active deployments. BA in Operations Management, Arizona State University.

We're building toward the 40-arm fleet.

The technical problems ahead of us — propagation at larger fleet sizes, multi-SKU training optimization, arm-agnostic model normalization — require people who've spent time in both robotics research and real distribution environments.

If that sounds like your background, reach out. We don't run structured job boards — we prefer conversations with people who've seen the actual problem.
